Going down to the shelter to see why I'm getting the message that the tape
bank is disabled.

Back from the shelter.  The problem with the tape drives was baffling, after
consulting with GONG I cycled the power to the Data and Instrument chassis to
clear the problem.  Reason for errors are still unknown.
