wall_loss_experiment_description: 'Compounds generated in-situ are produced through a 10 second photo-oxidation of commercially available precursors (1-alkanols), where photo-oxidation start and stop times are precisely controlled by photolysis of CH3ONO (methyl nitrite) in the presence of NO (nitric oxide) using 350 nm blacklights. Lower volatility, multifunctional compounds that are generated are monitored in real time by a NO3- CIMS at 1Hz. No fan should be used after lights turned on/off and the chamber is particle and should produce little aerosol during the oxidation.'
vapor_loss_calculation_method: 'The time series of the compounds are fitted and modeled using a kinetic solver (KinSim) which runs within Igor Pro. The production, transfer to chamber walls and evaporation from walls are modeled.'
parameterization_developed: '1'
parameterization_description: 'A first order rate of transfer from gas-phase to the chamber walls is calculated for the chamber and a compound-dependent saturation vapor concentration (C*) is computed.'
